Process
From first conversation to final delivery.
The same steps run on a finished-project shoot. Stills and film, then the work around it when that is useful.
Approach
Every frame begins long before the camera comes out. Stills and film come from the same visit.
The visit
How a project runs
01
Conversation
A call settles what the photographs and film are for: the site, the deck, social, the record of the build.
02
Planning
I read the plans, work out light and access, and send a prep note ahead of the day.
03
The visit
Exteriors, interiors, aerial where the site allows, and film. I move quietly.
04
Editing
I edit every frame myself in Lightroom and Photoshop. Restrained, so the room reads the way it reads standing in it.
05
Delivery
Final images land in an online gallery, typically within 5 to 10 business days. Licensing terms written for the actual use.
Matt was a pleasure to work with on our recent architectural project shoots. He was highly responsive and organized pre-shoot, and on-site he worked efficiently with a professional, calm demeanor. His creative eye brought out the best in the design, and he easily adapted to changing conditions. … Highly recommend!
