Approach
I plan the visit to the light. Then I photograph the decisions behind the building.
Photographer
I work with architects, custom builders, and interior designers across British Columbia.
A questionnaire comes first, then the drawings. What matters in each space, why a material sits where it does, which views need to read. I plan the day around how the light moves through the building. Each room has a short window. I work through those windows in order.
I shoot on a tripod. Natural light is primary. Designed fixtures stay on. Interiors, twilight, and aerial are bracketed and blended by hand. I am a Transport Canada certified Advanced Drone Pilot, so the aerial frames come from the same visit.
Place
Squamish, then the rest of the province.
Sea to Sky, the Sunshine Coast, Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and the Okanagan.
Light
The day follows the sun.
Each room has a short window of good light. I work through the building in that order.
Edit
I edit every frame myself.
Lightroom and Photoshop, so the materials read as they read in the room. Files land in an online gallery, typically within 5 to 10 business days.
