Contemporary alpine design that embraces its mountain setting through bold materiality and intentional craft

Set in the Wedgwood neighborhood of Whistler, BC, this contemporary alpine home exemplifies thoughtful collaboration. Designed by Britt Lothrop, built by Marc Harvey of Balmoral Construction, and architected by Mark Simone of Shelter Residential Design, the residence combines bold black metal cladding, warm cedar, and expansive glazing featuring custom glass by The Window Merchant to embrace its mountain setting.

Inside, natural materials, custom millwork, and strategic lighting design deliver a refined, livable interior that balances form and function. Every detail was crafted with design integrity and performance in mind, making this project a standout example of modern alpine architecture in Whistler.
