Case Study
Balmoral Construction: From Photography to Full Visual Partner
Four luxury projects, a complete website build, video content, and an ongoing retainer that turned a first shoot into a long-term partnership.
The Brief
A builder with exceptional work and no visual presence to match
Balmoral Construction builds luxury custom homes across Whistler and Pemberton. The kind of projects that deserve recognition — and that are eligible for programs like the Georgie Awards. But when we first connected, the visual infrastructure didn't reflect the quality of the builds. The portfolio imagery was inconsistent, the website didn't communicate the calibre of work being done, and the social media presence was sparse. The goal wasn't a single shoot. It was a complete visual overhaul: professional photography across multiple completed projects, video content for social media, a ground-up website redesign, and an ongoing system to keep everything current as new projects come through.
The Approach
Photography first, then everything built on top
We started where every visual identity should start: with the work itself. Four completed projects were shot to full scope: architectural interiors and exteriors, aerial photography, twilight sessions, material details, and short form video content. The Warbler Residence and Fitzsimmons Residence in Whistler. The Sugarloaf and Eagle residences in Pemberton.
Each shoot was planned around the specific qualities of the project: the alpine light conditions at Fitzsimmons, the panoramic valley views at Sugarloaf, the material palette at Warbler, the compact site strategy at Eagle. The resulting library gave Balmoral a deep, consistent set of imagery across four distinct projects. Enough to populate every channel from website to social media to proposals.
With the photography in place, the website was custom coded from scratch. Forty-two pages, each built around the imagery: 14 project galleries, 6 service-specific landing pages, 6 geo-targeted location pages covering Whistler, Pemberton, and Squamish for both new builds and renovations. A blog framework with 8 SEO-optimised articles drives organic traffic through cost-to-build guides, permit explainers, and project spotlights. The site launched with layered JSON-LD structured data, LocalBusiness schema with an 80km service radius, FAQ markup, breadcrumb navigation, and custom JavaScript animations. Built to 2026 SEO and local geo-targeting standards, with the same attention to craft that defines Balmoral's construction.

The Outcome
A visual identity that matches the quality of the builds
Balmoral now has a 42-page custom-coded website that communicates the calibre of their work from the first click. Six geo-targeted landing pages rank for the markets they build in. Four JSON-LD schemas feed structured data to search engines. Eight blog posts drive organic traffic through location-specific content that no competitor has.
The social media presence runs on a deep library of video and photography content across four documented projects. The retainer ensures every new build gets photographed to the same standard, the website stays current with fresh project pages and SEO updates, and the visual brand compounds with each completed home.
What started as a photography inquiry became a full creative partnership. That's what happens when the photographer understands the business, not just the buildings.

Every project you complete without professional documentation is a missed opportunity. No photos for the website. No content for social. No imagery for proposals. Once the drywall goes up, that story is gone.
